Meet Our Family (horses)

Most of our horses are Australian Stock Horses (ASH).  Over generations, my family has aimed to breed a horse that is athletic, smart, versatile, comfortable and with good temperament.

Our horses, are true to their breeding, and while they mostly love to muster cattle, they will have a go at any horse sport or event such as jumping, ponyclub, polocrosse and even dressage.  Our horses, like people, all have their own wonderful personalities.

Georgina

Georgina was named after a cattle station in the NT, where her mother Coote lived for a while.

Georgina is bold, strong, athletic, intelligent and kind.  Georgina is currently on maternity leave and is raising a beautiful colt, Xander (short for Alexandria Station, a cattle station in the NT). Georgina is Leanne’s horse and Leanne can't wait to ride Georgina again.

Yantala

Yantala is a 3 year old filly.  She is the last foal to be sired by Leanne's Dad's stallion, Absun.  She will learn to be a ridden horse during 2021.

Roulette

Roulettes mother was a state level Tentpegging horse called Chance. (Can you make a connection to how we named Roulette)

Roulette is a kind, athletic and a beautiful black mare bred to work cattle.  Roulette is my youngest son’s horse and will do anything for him.

Cunxin (pronounced ShoeSing)

Cunxin was named after Li Cunxin, the Chinese Ballet Dancer (who now lives in Brisbane).  Like Li Cunxin, this horse is like a ballerina, his is soft, flexible with a beautiful movement).  Cunxin excels in trail riding (or just trotting/cantering out) and arena work.

Rosè

With a mother called Champagne (and grandfather called Sparkle), we had to name this bubbly horse Rosè.

Rose is a horse with original stockhorse nature (athletic, super intelligent and a never give up attitude).   She likes to have a job to do and as such, her favourite things are mustering and sporting.

Cleo

Cleo is a stunning mare who has spent time mustering and campdrafting in western QLD. She is extremely quiet and is happiest walking or trotting along a trail or mustering cattle.

Millenium (Aka Lennie)

Lennie was born in the year 2000.

Lennie is everyone’s horse.  Lennie is the ‘been there, done that’ type of horse.  He is the wise one in the paddock.  Lennie has taught all my kids to ride and has helped them win many ribbons.  He doesn’t go any faster than required (unless if he is on a barrel race, then he may go a bit faster).

Oxley

Oxley is a registered Quarter Horse and is super quiet and gentle in nature.  Nothing fazes this boy and he is happy to poke along at the back of the trail.  All his paces are slow and steady.

Autumn

Autumn is a registered Australian Stock Horse and is kind horse with lovely movement.  She is one of our taller horses.

Reebok

Reebok born in February 2018 and from day 1 has been inquisitive, brave and a little bit cheeky.   He was recently trained by one of my sons and is now proving to be a great little horse to ride.  He is a quick learner and happy to have a go at anything.
